Overview

The Sustainability Assessment Framework (SASF) is a comprehensive assessment framework for the evaluation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) products and services in terms of environmental, human rights and utility aspects as well as benefits.

SASF is an assessment framework for evaluating the sustainability performance of digital solutions. The assessment results support companies in:

    Reviewing Product Performance

    SASF allows the sustainability performance of ICT products and services to be monitored. Products are rated on a component and aspect level, therefore identifying fields of improvements throughout the product lifecycle.

    Managing Portfolios

    Companies are encouraged to use SASF as an internal management tool. Once thresholds are internally defined, the portfolio management of sustainable products is enabled.

    Decisions can be made on the basis of available information.

RESULTS AND SCORING

SASF allows the performance of a product to be depicted in a final set of scores. In addition, users can access a more detailed evaluation to help them understand how the result was achieved.
